Medium plants with a leafspan of 4-8 inches Nepenthes clipeata x (clipeata x eymae), also known as Clone Clip 1, is a hybrid cross of the almost extinct N. clipeata, a lowlander native to Borneo and N. eymae, a highlander. The plant in the image is a larger plant, shown only to represent the species. Your plant will be shipped bare-root, with moist Sphagnum moss to protect the roots.
Cultivation
The Clone Clip 1 is best grown as highland or intermediate with warm days and warm to cool nights. This can be an easy Nepenthes to grow. The pitchers and leaves are very similar to the true N. clipeata, and were mistakenly sold as such for a long time. Prefers a well-drained media, which usually includes a generous portion of long-fiber Sphagnum moss. Other soil ingredients may include peat moss, washed sand, horticultural charcoal, orchid bark and Osmunda fiber. Water as the surface of the soil just begins to get dry. Never let it sit in water. They like to be kept humid.
