Pinguicula colimensis is one of the Mexican butterworts, from the state of Colima. Mexican Pings prefer a loose, open soil. P. colimensis has reportedly done well for growers using an all-mineral mix. We are having success growing it in a mix of aquasoil, sand and a small amount of iron oxide. An addition of calcium, such as Aragonite sand (from an aquarium supply store) might also benefit this plant in cultivation. Shipped bare root, carefully wrapped in damp sphagnum.
