Drosera capensis, or the Cape sundew is from the cape area of South Africa. This is the red form, also known as Drosera capensis All-Red, with pink flowers. Common forms include alba, all-red, narrow leaf, and broad leaf (typical). Not too picky about soils, it will grow in anything from pure living sphagnum moss, to various CP mixes, such as the standard 'CP mix" of 1:1 peat moss:sand. We like to grow them in in a 60:40 mix of peat:perlite to give their roots a loose moist media to easily grow and spread out.
Small plants, shipped bare root, carefully wrapped in damp sphagnum.
