Large plants with a leafspan of 8 - 12 inches. Nepenthes stenophylla is a highland plant native to Borneo. This is the 'Bareo' form of stenophylla. This can be an easy, moderate grower. As is true of other highland Nepenthes species, it prefers a well-drained media, which usually includes a generous portion of long-fiber Sphagnum moss. Other soil ingredients may include peat moss, washed sand, horticultural charcoal, orchid bark and Osmunda fiber. Water as the surface of the soil just begins to get dry. Never let it sit in water. Highland Nepenthes require cool nights to grow well and form pitchers. They like to be kept humid. In general, night temperatures should drop below 60F nightly. Given cool nights, warm days into the 80s are tolerated. Your Nepenthes stenophylla will be shipped bare-root, with damp Sphagnum moss to protect the roots.
