Drosera capensis, or the Cape sundew is from the cape area of South Africa. This is the broad leaf form, which is the typical form, with pink flowers. It is also known as the stem forming form, as it tends to develop a tall stem, with the leaves clustering at the apex. Common forms include alba, all-red, narrow leaf, and broad leaf (typical). Not too picky about soils, it will grow in anything from pure living sphagnum moss, to various CP mixes, such as the standard 'CP mix" of 1:1 peat moss:sand. We like to grow them in in a 60:40 mix of peat:perlite to give their roots a loose moist media to easily grow and spread out.
Medium size plants, shipped bare root, carefully wrapped in damp sphagnum.
