Pinguicula gypsicola is a Mexican Butterwort commonly growing on wet gypsum cliffs. It can also be grown successfully in our All Mineral Pinguicula, optionally with pieces of gypsum rock scattered around the plants. It is important to allow the pot to slightly dry out as the plant begins to go dormant, typically in late spring or early summer. As it begins to go completely dormant in the late summer if should be allowed to dry out completely. This cycle starts again in the spring, when it should progressively be given wetter conditions until it is again begins to enter dormancy.
