Drosera capensis, or the Cape sundew is from the cape area of South Africa. This is the narrow leaf form, which has leaves proportionally more narrow and strap-like than the typical form. These do not tend to produce a tall stem, as does the broad-leaf form. Common forms include alba, all-red, narrow leaf, and broad leaf (typical). Not too picky about soils, it will grow in anything from pure living sphagnum moss, to various CP mixes, such as the standard 'CP mix" of 1:1 peat moss:sand. We like to grow them in in a 60:40 mix of peat:perlite to give their roots a loose moist media to easily grow and spread out.
Medium size plants, shipped bare root, carefully wrapped in damp sphagnum.
