Pinguicula 'John Rizzi' is described in D'Amato's book as a 'hummingbird mix', or a random cross made by the hummingbirds which are attracted to his flowering Pings. It is an unknown cross of moranensis. It is a registered cultivar (registered 11.6.1999). As do Mexican Pings generally, it prefers loose, open soil. We use 1 part each of peat, sand, vermiculite, perlite and pumice. Shipped bare root, carefully wrapped in damp sphagnum.
