Seed grown plants, no two alike. The highland Nepenthes aristolochioides x (ventricosa x talangensis) is a hybrid cross of N. aristolochioides (native to Sumatra) with another hybrid N. ventricosa (from the Philippines) x talangensis (Sumatra). The image of 2 plants was selected to display some of the variability of color and size. Your plant will be shipped bare-root, with moist Sphagnum moss to protect the roots. Small seed grown plants with a leafspan of 2-4 inches.
As is true of other highland Nepenthes, N. aristolochioides x (ventricosa x talangensis) prefers a well-drained media, which usually includes a generous portion of long-fiber Sphagnum moss. Other soil ingredients may include peat moss, washed sand, horticultural charcoal, orchid bark and Osmunda fiber. Water as the surface of the soil just begins to get dry. Never let it sit in water. Highland Nepenthes require cool nights to grow well and form pitchers. They like to be kept humid. In general, night temperatures should drop below 60F nightly. Given cool nights, warm days well into the 80s or 90s are tolerated.
