Pinguicula pilosa is a new species (2003), and is one of the Mexican butterworts, apparently in the P. agnata complex of Pinguicula. It was discovered by Alfred Lau, although it has been in cultivation under various names since approx. 1984. Mexican Pings prefer a loose, open soil. We use 1 part each of peat, sand, vermiculite, perlite and pumice. Shipped bare root, carefully wrapped in damp sphagnum.
