Pinguicula 'Weser' is a hybid of two of the Mexican butterworts Pinguicula ehlersiae and Pinguicula moranensis. 'Weser' is one of two well known named hybrids of these two parent species. The other is 'Sethos'. It is a registered cultivar (registered 10.11.1998). As do Mexican Pings generally, it prefers loose, open soil. We use 1 part each of peat, sand, vermiculite, perlite and pumice. Shipped bare root, carefully wrapped in damp sphagnum.
