Drosera madagascariensis is a tropical species from Africa. As this species matures, it forms a tall stem, with a skirt of dried leaves. It occasionally reaches a height of 10 inches. Frequently, as it grows, it topples over and grows as a scrambling stem. A vigorous grower, it will grow in anything from pure living sphagnum moss, to various CP mixes, such as the standard 'CP mix" of 1:1 peat moss:sand. We grow them in a 60:40 mix of peat:perlite to give their roots a loose moist media to easily grow and spread out.
Small plants shipped bare root, carefully wrapped in damp sphagnum.
